Some of our projects
Here are a few of the projects I have been involved in over the years. There were many more.....
Three Phase Victron Solar PV and battery system.
This tidy three phase Victron system runs the Vegan cafe and music venue at Rockaway Park near Bristol. The solar charge controller is a RS450/200, the most powerful solar controller from Victron. The Cerbo GX communications hub allows for a complete oversight as to how the system is running. The Hawker forklift battery with a storage capacity of 37.8kW allows the site to run autonomously with the security of the grid connection if required. A further like for like system is planned for another part of the site.
This project, designed by Yellow Energy and installed in partnership with Renuco Ltd, stands as an impressive example of the capabilities of Victron equipment.

Solar array 330kW on the poultry shed roofs
Poultry sheds are ideal for solar due to the vast roof space they have. The system works even better when coupled with a battery storage unit. These units use a lot of power so the pay back periods can be very short.
Tyneham Village
Tyneham Village is an historical village on the Dorset coast and well worth a visit.
We installed an off-grid system that sits on the historical school building. The system runs lighting and heating for the school building and church. With a 600W Turbine and 4 320W panels, the system has been running since 2019 replacing an old LPG generator.

Tyneham Village
Here you see the heart of the installation at Tyneham Village. Its a combination of solar and wind power that has run lighting and heating for two historical buildings since 2019. AGM batteries are used for the back up storage.
Poultry shed installation 440kW
Sunset over a solar installation which was ongoing. Several years completed, it produces over 1.2GW of power annually saving the owner a lot of money.
Payback is under five years.

Remote power supply
Here is a remote power system with a 300W Wind Turbine and a 220W solar panel.
This system supplies a Wi-Fi booster with enough power to communicate with a 4G connection that is about a mile away. The connection allows visitors to use a parking app to pay the parking fee at the location.
It uses two Victron Deep Cycle batteries to store surplus power and will run without wind or sun for four days, the system has been running two years and is still going strong.
