Green Business Grants for the South West.
The West of England Combined Authority (WEKA) are offering help in form of Green Grants to companies based in the West of England
These grants can be used to purchase or install materials, products and equipment that will result in a measurable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in your business.

The Grant can be used , for example for:

LED lighting and better lighting controls

solar photovoltaic panels
-
roof, wall, pipe and technical component insulation
-
solar film to reduce the need for air conditioning in the summer
-
more efficient heating and better controls
-
air compressors and variable speed drives to improve the efficiency of manufacturing and processing equipment.
Your application must be supported by an independent assessment that confirms that what you want to do is likely to reduce your carbon emissions, with estimated savings calculated and alternative options identified where possible. The WEKA provide this advice free of charge , but you can also use a third-party consultant or assessor.

To see if you are eligible, it is important that you get the ball rolling by applying for a free Carbon Survey.
A carbon survey normally consists of around 12 hours of support per business, provided free of charge by a Technical Advisor from WEKA. This includes a 1-2 hour site survey depending on the size of your business.
